TMS

Capecom, a leading software product development company, utilized Figma's UI/UX design to create an advanced dashboard that supported both web and mobile applications, seamlessly interconnected for a unified user experience.

Leveraging world-class technologies, such as ReactJS for dynamic front-end interfaces, Flutter for cross-platform app development, and Laravel for robust back-end functionality, Capecom delivered a seamless user experience across various devices and platforms.

The result was a fully integrated TMS (Truck Management System) application, designed to function efficiently like a courier service. This application allows users to track and manage customer orders, ensuring timely delivery to drop-off points. The TMS system employs chauffeurs with trucks that pick up and deliver customer orders, with drivers using the mobile app to track start and drop locations backed by GPS.

Key Obstacles

Throughout the development of the TMS system, Capecom encountered several challenges, particularly with GPS functionality and the truck management systems, including:

  • Unfit mobile GPS functioning
  • Longitude & Latitude problems
  • Powerless tracking
Unfit Mobile GPS Functioning:

The GPS functionality on the app faced issues, leading to inaccurate navigation and discrepancies in the user tracking experience.

Longitude & Latitude Problems:

Issues with longitude and latitude data caused mapping inaccuracies, which led to navigation errors within the TMS system.

Powerless Tracking:

The TMS encountered challenges with tracking, especially when conventional GPS systems failed to provide the accuracy and reliability required for precise order deliveries.

Solutions

Capecom tackled these obstacles with focused and innovative solutions. When the chauffeur's mobile GPS was unreliable, Capecom used a backup system that referenced the previous known location to correct the navigation and ensure accurate delivery tracking.

The discrepancies in the mapping system were resolved by deploying a sophisticated algorithm that broke down and addressed the longitude and latitude issues, ensuring precise navigation.

For tracking inefficiencies, Capecom introduced a reliable data backup system and real-time tracking to ensure accurate and timely order deliveries, even when GPS data failed or was inconsistent.

Result

While initially facing difficulties in acquiring accurate map locations through mobile GPS, Capecom successfully utilized a modern algorithm to resolve location discrepancies. By referencing data from previous known locations, the team ensured correct positioning and timely order deliveries.

In addition, to resolve the driver’s inability to track precise locations when the app was minimized, Capecom implemented real-time tracking and data backup systems. This ensured that the driver could always access accurate information, leading to reliable and timely deliveries, and a flawless user experience for customers.

Through these solutions, Capecom overcame the GPS-related challenges and optimized the TMS system for seamless, efficient, and accurate order management.
