WeddingGown

We utilised state-of-the-art technologies such as ReactJS, Bootstrap, and the AntD (Ant Design) framework to develop the WeddingGown platform.

The core concept of WeddingGown was to provide a marketplace for buying and selling exclusive wedding dresses for brides-to-be, offering a wide range of gowns in various colours and styles. Our platform enabled both the purchase and resale of wedding gowns, with options tailored to suit different needs.

Purchasers could buy a gown for a single day and resell it after cleaning, allowing for gown reuse. Alternatively, sellers could offer brand-new gowns for buyers to rent or purchase. To become a seller or subscriber, the buyer needed to pay a subscription fee to WeddingGown, providing access to the platform's services.

Key Obstacles

Our experienced developers encountered several challenges during the development of the WeddingGown site and application.

  • AntD framework setbacks
  • Responsive issues
  • Two kinds of Figma designs
AntD Framework Setbacks:

While using the AntD framework, we faced a pop-up issue where the application failed to open on iOS devices. This required troubleshooting and adjustments to ensure compatibility across all platforms.

Responsive Issues:

Our developers encountered responsive design challenges, particularly with pixel ratios, font sizes, and image clarity, as they translated the Figma designs into the development phase. Ensuring a consistent experience across devices required extra attention to detail.

Two Versions of Figma Designs:

We were provided with two different sets of Figma designs—one from Capecom and another from the client. This discrepancy made it challenging to align the designs and caused delays as we worked to reconcile the differences and finalise the details.

Solutions

Utilising the AntD framework, we encountered an issue where pop-ups failed to open on iOS devices. To resolve this promptly, we implemented Bootstrap technology, seamlessly replacing the pop-up functionality.

Capecom's experienced developers also faced responsive design challenges, including varying font sizes, pixel ratios, and image clarity, when translating the Figma design into development.

Additionally, we were provided with two distinct sets of Figma designs—one from Capecom and another from the client. This discrepancy created obstacles in aligning the designs and accurately identifying the required details.

Result

A pop-up issue arose within the AntD framework, preventing it from opening on iOS devices. This was swiftly addressed by replacing the pop-up functionality with Bootstrap technology, ensuring timely delivery without any compromise on quality.

WeddingGown also faced responsive challenges during the conversion of the Figma design into development, particularly related to varying pixel ratios, font sizes, and image clarity. Our team worked diligently to overcome these issues, ensuring the final product met our high standards.

Additionally, two sets of Figma designs—one from Capecom and the other from the client—created obstacles in accurately identifying the precise details required for development. To resolve this, our team invested extra time and effort to reconcile the discrepancies, ultimately ensuring a smooth development process.
